Dining room, kiosk and kitchen on one menu and one till

We analyse how you take, prepare, charge and reconcile orders, and implement Odoo Point of Sale for restaurants with kiosk, kitchen display and recipes.

Every order, from any channel, in one flow

A restaurant system receives dine-in, kiosk, QR and delivery app orders on the same till, sends them to each kitchen station, deducts ingredients by recipe and controls voids and comps.

Without it, staff re-key orders from several tablets, the kitchen works from paper and the till does not match what the apps settle.

Signs your company needs one

  • Delivery app orders are keyed into the till
  • Tickets reach the kitchen on paper
  • Voids need no authorisation
  • Extras and modifiers are not charged correctly
  • Recipe cost and waste are unknown
  • Till closing does not match the delivery apps

The cost of staying as you are

Errors at peak time

Each re-keyed order risks a wrong dish, an uncharged extra or a customer leaving a poor rating in the app.

  • Unexplained settlements

Commissions, promotions and cancellations deducted by the apps remain a difference with no owner.

  • Food cost in the dark

Without recipes or waste records, you cannot tell whether margin is lost in purchasing, the kitchen or the till.

Restaurants and delivery analysis in four steps

We start with one full dining room and kitchen service, and test the equipment before committing to dates.

Diego Muñoz, process and technology consultant
  1. One full service

We observe a lunch or dinner service in the dining room, kitchen and till, and count re-keyed orders and voids.

  2. Menu, recipes and settlements

We review the menu per channel, existing recipes and one week of each app's settlements against the till.

  3. Configuration and hardware

We configure Odoo with your stations, modifiers and recipes, and test printers, displays and card terminal before committing to dates.

  4. Go-live per location

We go live in a pilot location with voids, kitchen times and till closing already measured; delivery apps come in according to what each one authorises.

From assessment to restaurants and delivery implementation

We implement this type of system

We implement Odoo Point of Sale for restaurants: dining room, self-service kiosk, kitchen display, recipes and inventory, with e-invoicing. We assess the connection to delivery apps against what each app authorises for your business before committing to scope. If your case calls for another platform, we compare options against your requirements.

Order flow per channel, void and comp rules, and app reconciliation, written down and approved by you.

  • Odoo implementation for restaurants

Dining room with tables, self-service kiosk, kitchen display, recipes and inventory, with e-invoicing.

  • Delivery app connection assessment

What each app authorises for your business, product mapping and settlement reconciliation; whether a direct connection or an aggregator fits.

Restaurants and delivery: market options

We implement Odoo. The other platforms are listed in no order of preference; the connection to delivery apps depends on what each app authorises for your business.

Odoo Point of Sale for restaurants

Odoo Point of Sale for restaurants handles tables, tickets per station, kitchen display and self-service kiosk, and deducts inventory by recipe. The kiosk module also offers QR ordering from the table, which we assess with you. For delivery apps we check what each one allows your business before proposing a connection.

Selection criteria

  • App orders with cancellations and changes, without re-keying
  • Kitchen display per station
  • Recipes that deduct inventory with every sale
  • SUNAT receipts per order, on every channel

Other platforms on the market

  • Oracle MICROS Simphony
  • Toast
  • Fudo
  • Restaurant.pe

Restaurants and delivery assessment: 38 questions, 10 minutes

This analysis reviews how an order travels from the dining room, kiosk or a delivery app to the kitchen, the till and accounting. The questions describe observable situations in kitchen tickets, recipes, waste, settlements, voids and receipts.

Scored dimensions

  • Order intake by channel. How dine-in, kiosk and delivery app orders reach the kitchen ticket, using the same menu and the same modifiers.
  • Recipes and cost per dish. Whether each dish has a recipe with quantities per portion and whether ingredient usage, waste and central kitchen production are recorded against that recipe.
  • Till closing and app settlements. How the till closing by payment method, each delivery app settlement and the tax receipts reconcile with what reaches accounting.
  • Peak-hour service. How floor and kitchen work at peak hours: use of the kitchen display, preparation times per station and readiness of new staff.
  • Authorisations and food safety. Who voids orders or applies discounts and complimentary items, how sanitary checks are recorded and how receipt issuance to SUNAT is controlled.

What you receive

At the end you receive your operation's level in each dimension and the gaps that weigh most for your restaurant format. Each gap comes with a first step your team can verify at the outlet.

18 scored questions and 15 context questions (type of operation, size, current system). Context questions are not scored: they let us read the result against similar operations.

Restaurants and delivery: frequently asked questions

It depends on each app. We first check what it authorises for your business (catalogue, orders, cancellations, settlements) and whether a direct connection or an aggregator fits. We commit to no scope or dates before that review.

We test it before committing to dates. If a device is not compatible, we tell you, with the alternative and its cost.

No. You start with the best-selling dishes and the most expensive ingredients; the rest is completed over the following weeks.
