A map you can make decisions with
We analyse how your operations use location, help you choose the GIS tool and connect it to your ERP or CRM to cross location with sales, costs and incidents.
36questions, 9 minutes and your result at the end
Signs your company needs one
- Customer addresses are free text, with no coordinates
- Sales or delivery zones are drawn by eye
- Assets and incidents cannot be seen on a map
- Plots or lots are tracked on loose drawings
- Site openings do not use location data
- Technicians and sales reps have no optimised route
The cost of staying as you are
Visits that never arrive
A misplaced address is a failed delivery, a technician who comes back or a customer waiting another day.
Zones that get argued over
Without written criteria, each zone change is negotiated between supervisors and targets stop being comparable.
Decisions without territory
Sites, routes and investments are decided on averages that hide the differences between one district and another.
GIS analysis in four steps
Before discussing tools we measure the location data you already have. A map built on badly placed addresses leads to wrong decisions.

The questions the map must answer
With sales, operations and management we list the decisions made today without seeing the territory and the data each one is missing.
Location quality
On a sample we measure how many records have a reliable coordinate and which reference system the layers use.
Map and query requirements
We compare desktop, cloud and map-service tools by capability, cost per request and ease of use for non-technical teams.
Connection to your systems
We bring the coordinate into the ERP or CRM record and coordinate the viewer and initial layers with the provider.
GIS assessment and selection
We assess and help you choose
We analyse how your operations use location, define requirements and help you choose the GIS tool; then we coordinate with the provider and connect the GIS to your ERP, CRM or operations system. We do not offer our own implementation of GIS platforms.
Location data assessment
Share of correctly located records, layer inventory and coordinate capture rules.
GIS tool selection
Decision matrix across desktop, cloud and map-service options, with three-year licence and request costs.
ERP and CRM integration
Coordinates in customer and asset records, and automatic tasks for unlocated addresses.
GIS: market options
In no order of preference. What weighs most is query volume, who will use the map (specialists or sales teams) and whether your layers must stay on your own infrastructure.
Recognised platforms on the market
- Esri ArcGIS
- QGIS (open source)
- Google Maps Platform
- Mapbox
- CARTO
Selection criteria
- A viewer non-technical teams can understand
- Predictable cost per request and licences
- Field capture with or without connectivity
- Connection to your ERP, CRM or routing system

This assessment measures how you capture, organize, connect and use the location of concessions, work faces, facilities and land plots. The questions describe observable facts, such as which datum each layer uses or how a field inspection reaches the system.
Scored dimensions
- Capture and zoning. It looks at how the location of each new element is recorded and how operating areas are defined, with accuracy, owner and version.
- Layers, datum and topology. It looks at whether geographic layers live in a common database, with a documented coordinate system and validated geometries.
- Viewer and field recording. It looks at where operational maps are viewed and how what field staff record reaches the system.
- Link with management systems. It looks at whether the coordinate travels with ERP or maintenance system records and whether misplaced points are detected and assigned an owner.
- Territorial indicators. It looks at whether the share of elements with a reliable location is measured and whether decisions by zone or work face use indicators on the map.
- Capacity, licenses and layer access. It looks at how many people produce maps without help, how non-technical areas use maps, which licenses are used and who can download sensitive layers.
What you receive
When you finish, you receive your level in six geographic information dimensions and the list of gaps by priority, each with the first step that closes it.
18 scored questions and 13 context questions (type of operation, size, current system). Context questions are not scored: they let us read the result against similar operations.

GIS: frequently asked questions
No. We analyse usage, help you choose the tool and coordinate with the provider. We connect the GIS to your ERP or CRM.
To see a point, yes. To zone, cross layers with sales or costs and control who sees what, you need a GIS tool or an integrated map service.
With location quality: measure how many records are correctly placed and make the coordinate mandatory on entry. Without that, no tool gives reliable results.
An export of customers, sites or assets with their address and, if available, their coordinates. A sample is enough to estimate how much is correctly located.
Review your address base with Diego in 30 minutes
Bring a short export of customers or assets with their address. Diego shows you which part is ready for a map and which part needs fixing first.
